4/28/22 - Litigation Legal Assistant Ad:

Warren & Simpson, PC is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to provide litigation support to one of our teams. The successful candidate will have a friendly disposition, a willingness to support all team members, and be comfortable using multiple software systems. This position necessitates excellent writing/editing skills. Responsibilities include customer service, document review and control, and trial preparation and support. At least two years of law firm experience is required. A Bachelor’s degree and/or an Associate degree in paralegal studies from an ABA-approved paralegal program are pluses.

 3/16/22 - Honorable Judge Chris M. Comer, Circuit Judge for the 23rd Judicial Circuit, seeks a Judicial Law Clerk. In addition to conducting legal research and assisting during court proceedings, the Law Clerk position also involves large amounts of clerical work and data entry.   • File, organize, scan, copy & fax legal documents 
  • Schedule depositions, hearings & other meetings 
  • Time entry 
  • Basic discovery request drafting 
  • Review draft bills 
  • Manage department calendar, including court deadlines 
  • Taking calls for senior partner as needed 

Required Skills & Miscellaneous: 

  • Familiarity with legal documents & terminology 
  • Litigation support experience 
  • Proficiency with Alacourt & CM/ECF systems 
  • Proficiency with Office 365 & Outlook Calendaring 
  • Excellent typing skills 
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills 
  • Organization skills 
  • Proofreading skills 
  • Professional demeanor with a strong sense of discretion 
  • Self-motivation 
  • Clio legal software experience a plus, but not required
