Clement (Clem) J Cartron, III, is a 1968 graduate of Cumberland School of Law, Samford University. He obtained his bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Alabama. After three years serving as an assistant district attorney in Madison County, Alabama, he commenced his private legal practice, working in medium-sized firms, small firms, and as a sole practitioner.
Clem's professional focus has been as a plaintiff's litigation council. He was involved in the settlement for $15 million DDT pollution of public waters and private lands; the settlement of death claim against Southern Airlines; claims under the Civil Rights Act; and a wide range of tort claims and defenses. Recent litigation accomplishments include a $200,000+ settlement in a medical malpractice claim, and favorable decision in a Federal employment dispute.
He currently represents a number of home owners in construction litigation against unethical building practices. Additional real estate litigation includes boundary line disputes, specific performance suits, real estate development disputes, subcontractor lien suits, and foreclosures.
