David J. Hodge was born in Huntsville, Alabama, on October 9, 1974.
Mr. Hodge graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law with honors in 2000.
While in law school, Mr. Hodge was named a Hugo Black Scholar, served as senior editor of the Law Review, and a member of the law school’s American Bar Association Competition Trial Team.
Following law school, Mr. Hodge clerked for the Honorable U.S. District Judge Inge P. Johnson of the Northern District of Alabama. He practiced law in Birmingham, Alabama for ten ears before returning home to Madison County.
Mr. Hodge is admitted in all Federal District Courts of Alabama as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. He is a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
He is also a member of the Alabama Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the Southern Trial Lawyers Association where he serves on the Board of Governors.
David J. Hodge was selected as a Rising Star in the publication Alabama Super Lawyers for 2010. Super Lawyers magazine names attorneys in each state who received the highest point totals, as chosen by their peers and through the independent research. Rising Stars names the state's top up-and-coming attorneys.
Mr. Hodge has spoken at several continuing education seminars for lawyers in the State of Alabama, the Bahamas, Canada, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Mr. Hodge has started and chaired two national products liability litigation support groups through the American Association for Justice. He currently serves on the Alabama State Bar Judicial Liaison Committee.
