As a trial lawyer, Tom has spent nineteen (19) of his twenty-three (23) years primarily representing consumers against pest control companies, building contractors, architects and real estate agents in Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and many other states. He is licensed to practice in Alabama, Illinois and Colorado. After achieving multiple verdicts and settlements for his clients in excess of $1,000,000.00, Mr. McGrath was invited to become a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is also a member of the Alabama Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice (AAJ), and frequent lecturer and faculty member with the National College of Advocacy where he has also achieved the distinction of being a “Diplomat” in trial advocacy - its highest designation for courtroom skills.
As a member of the National College of Advocacy (AAJ) faculty Mr. McGrath has taught and lectured nationwide regarding courtroom skills at numerous colleges and seminars including, Civil Litigation Essentials, Deposition Colleges, Medical Negligence Colleges, Focus Groups, and Persuasion in the Courtroom in over 15 states. In addition to his frequent lectures for the AAJ and National College of Advocacy, Tom has also lectured at educational programs for the Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee Justice Associations.
